How to care for your jewelry
Last on, first off is the golden rule of jewelry. This helps avoid exposure to products like lotions, perfume, and cleaners. It also lessens the likelihood of physical trauma, like accidentally banging your beloved piece against something hard.
Use a soft micro cloth to gently wipe down your jewelry, and don't use an ultrasonic or harsh jewelry cleaner unless you know it won't ruin your jewels. Generally gold and diamonds are safe, but most other materials are not. Your jewelry is a dainty queen, she deserves to be treated kindly and gently.
Most stones are sensitive
Only gold and diamonds can withstand chemicals like sunscreen, perfume, and chlorine, to name a few. While it looks chic to wear jewelry to the beach or the pool, most stones cannot tolerate these summertime outings.
Jewelry should be removed to sleep, shower, swim, and apply cosmetics/lotions, in order to protect the integrity of the stones. Caution should be taken not to drop the jewelry as hard impact can chip the stones. Contact us with any additional care/storage questions.
